Aftercare guide

Your new piece of art is an investment. Proper healing ensures the vibrant colors and detailed lines of your tattoo remain a masterpiece for years to come.

Initial Phase

The First 24 Hours

  • After the tattoo is complete your artist will clean it thoroughly and apply a clear adhesive bandage. This protective film helps shield your fresh tattoo from bacteria and promotes healing.

Healing Phase

The First Week

  • Keep the adhesive bandage on for 3-4 days.
  • Feel free to apply ice over the bandage to help reduce swelling during the first few days.
  • Watch for any signs of irritation around or beneath the bandage,, as well as any fluid leaking from underneath it.
  • You can shower with the bandage on but if  you notice any of these issues remove the adhesive bandage right away.
  • Gently and slowly peel off the adhesive bandage in the shower with warm water to ease the process.
  • After bandage removal wash your tattoo with an antibacterial soap and warm water. Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel or air dry it. Then apply a thin layer of fragrance - free moisturizer ensuring it is fully absorbed into the skin.
  • Repeat this two times a day for two weeks.

Preservation Phase

Long-Term Care

  • Stay away from soaking in water(pools, oceans, lakes, rivers, hot tubs, hot springs, etc.) For a minimum of two weeks.
  • It is common for tattoos to peel, flake or scab. Do not pick or scratch your helaing tattoo! If it itches gently tap or pat the area.
  • Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight, especially for the first couple of weeks.
  • Use sunscreen to keep your tattoo protected.
